An archive of articles and papers about disability issues.
The aim of the Disability Archive UK is to provide disabled people, students and scholars with an interest in this and related fields, access to the writings of those disability activists, writers and allies whose work may no longer be easily accessible in the public domain. It is hoped that the documents available via the Archive will help to inform current and future debates on disability and related issues.

Making your teaching inclusive
The website Making your teaching inclusive provides practical advice about teaching inclusively and will also help in meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. It will give you an insight into what study is like for disabled students, and what you can do to make a difference. The development has been funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England as part of a major programme for improving disability provision.
The website will help you learn about:
- how you can enhance the learning experience of your student;
- common barriers to learning and ways to find solutions;
- types of learning support;
- assistive technologies and specialist staff.

MIDAS Systems
MIDAS Systems are a partnership dedicated to the marketing, development and support of the MIDAS database system, used to manage Additional Support in UK Colleges of Further Education.
MIDAS (Management Information Database for Additional Support) is a commercially available system for tracking, monitoring, evaluating and costing Additional Support in UK Colleges of Further Education and other relevant organisations. It is a networkable, multi-user database system, based on Microsoft Access, for Windows PC's. You do not need to have Microsoft Access installed on your PC to run MIDAS.

Disabled Students and Multiple Policy Innovations in Higher Education
A Research Project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, carried out jointly by the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
This study is examining how multiple policy innovations in higher education are interacting with policies aimed at wider access for disabled students, assessing the impact of both sets of policies on the participation and experiences of disabled students. It compares developments in Scotland and England and in different types of institution, examining ways in which institutions have interpreted and implemented national policies.

LLU+ London South Bank University
LLU+ is a national consultancy and professional development centre for staff working in the areas of literacy, numeracy, dyslexia, family learning and English for Speakers of Other Languages, with specialists in learning support, language and maths, and the application of learning styles approaches to teaching and learning. Within these fields the unit offers consultancy and advice, project development, trainer education, research and development and professional development networks. The unit also has an extensive list of publications and training videos developed through our work.
DEMOS Project - Online Materials for Staff Disability Awareness
This project ran from 200-2003 and was funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England under strand three of the initiative Improving Provision for Students with Disabilities. The project developed an online learning package aimed specifically at academic staff and examined the issues faced by disabled students in higher education.
