NADO Annual Conference & AGM 2004
Date: Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 July 2004
Venue: Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham.
Conference theme
Student Lifecycle approach to support in Further and Higher Education.
Support is divided into the following areas:
- Aspiration raising
- Pre-entry
- First semester
- On-course
- Progression
The conference could showcase examples of good practice in these areas through presentations, workshops, focus groups etc.

- Mike Adams, Director, National Disability Team - Aspiration Raising.
- Neil Crowther, Education Programme Lead, Disability Rights Commission - Draft Disability Discrimination Bill.

- Dr Chris Singleton (University of Hull) - Using Computerised Screening for Dyslexia in Further & Higher Education.

QAG
There will be a QAG update from Malcolm Matthews (Student Support Manager, Nottinghamshire County Council) with delegates free either to pursue a review of different aspects of QAG or FE related matters. Contributions from Karen Hall (RNCB), Judith Waterfield (University of Plymouth), Jenni Dyer (Skill) and Helen Andrews (Dyslexia Service).
